What better way to equalize human rights than by establishing equality between the sexes? I'm sure that you would agree that it is an important issue and many of human rights protests the world's leaders agree with this view.
This is the reason why there are more women now than men in most countries, both within the armed forces and in the civil society. This is also one of the reasons why some governments have introduced laws that are supposed to guarantee gender equality. Unfortunately, these laws are often ignored by many, who just hope that one day they'll get a chance to use them.
Men and women in all cultures and social circles are expecting to be different. For example, in many societies, a woman is expected to be married off at an early age and has little or no say in her career, although she is allowed to work outside the home. It is a tradition for a man to be the breadwinner and it is a tradition for a woman to stay at home and take care of the children. Both of these traditional roles are meant to make women feel like they belong, but this is not necessarily the case. Even though most women do want to be equal, many feel the need to stick to the traditions and accept their roles as best they can.
Equal rights should not mean that there is no room for change. It's not enough to equalize rights because you have to respect and value people for who they are. You should respect and value the lives of every human being regardless of their sex and you should treat people as humans first and not as gender categories.
Many people in other countries have found good examples of countries that have equalized human rights between the sexes. They have also found examples where men and women have been treated equally by authorities and society. However, not everyone has lived such a happy and positive life, so one has to realize that it may take time for things to really be equalized. There will always be differences in the world and this is one of the reasons why some people take matters into their own hands and start putting up lawsuits against the system if it does not give them what they think is rightfully theirs.
Equalizing human rights is possible but it is certainly not a quick process and it certainly doesn't happen overnight. People have to take a long time to achieve anything good. But I am sure that once you have done everything right, you will see progress taking place, because you have opened people's eyes and minds and given them the chance to experience new things.
